Launch of New Global Studies Thesis Writing Group
A new thesis writing group set up by doctoral researchers in the School of Global Studies has held it's first event this April.
The thesis writing group was established by doctoral researchers in the process of 'writing-up'.
After attending the Thesis Boot Camp organised by the Doctoral School, which took place in December 2015, seven participants decided to bring back the idea of 'collective writing in a safe and friendly space' to the School of Global Studies.
Members of the group come from a range of departments in the School of Global Studies, and have met every other Friday since February.
In early April, their project was granted funding from the Doctoral School's Researcher-Led-Initiative (RLI) Fund. The funding will be used to help organise future writing sessions and events.
For more information about upcoming events and writing exercises, please keep an eye out for posters and e-mails from the Global Studies Thesis Writing Group, or contact Jon Sward or Yeyang Su.
