Summer teaching

In this module, you explore the strategic planning process, including environmental scanning, strategy formulation and implementation, and strategy evaluation and control.

Through case study analysis you look at how leading firms use strategy to gain competitive advantage and examine how they relate strategy and leadership in a range of different organisations and contexts.

You study core leadership skills including:

  • communication
  • motivation
  • the creative construction of goals and options
  • negotiation.

You learn the fundamental concepts and skills in negotiation, and the challenge of developing negotiating capabilities in a modern organisational context.
