I am Dip Kumar Saha, originally from Bangladesh. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Engineering at the ÄûÃÊÊÓƵ. I am working on developing self-sensing actuators that can be used as helpful tools for next-generation robotics applications. I am highly passionate about doing research in robotics.

I chose the ÄûÃÊÊÓƵ due to its world-class research facility with highly renowned faculty members. Here, people are doing cutting-edge research and publishing their work in the top-ranked journals with high impact factors. In addition, I am currently on study leave from my University in Bangladesh, where I am working as a faculty member. My ultimate goal is to develop myself as a promising researcher and continue the research in my country after completing my PhD here in Sussex.

Besides this, I am also working as a Doctoral Tutor in the School of Engineering and Informatics. It's an excellent opportunity for me to gain some experience in teaching some highly talented international students. Here, students are provided with the opportunity to think independently about their projects which helps to improve their creativity to some extent.

Adaptation to a new environment and different cultures is the most challenging task for any international student. But I never feel this issue due to the availability of some fantastic people here in Sussex to help me in various aspects. In addition, the natural beauty of the ÄûÃÊÊÓƵ is one of the biggest attractions for me; that always gives me a feel like home.

Finally, I would like to convey my best wishes to the upcoming students from Bangladesh.
