Cognitive psychology
Cognitive Psychology studies mental processes such as perception, attention, memory, language and thinking. You'll learn about visual and speech perception, categorisation and language processing, as well as overt and covert attention, consciousness, memory and decision making. We'll also teach you about cognitive neuroscience using a wide variety of methods, including case studies of brain-damaged individuals, electrical recordings of 'brainwaves' (EEG), and neuroimaging using fMRI.
