Maker Space

Silverstone building room 213. The Maker Space is a dedicated facility for 3D printing and soldering. It is located on the second floor of the Silverstone building and can be booked by two people at a time via Siso.

3D Printing Workstations: Includes two PC workstations connected to Raise3D Pro2 3D printers.The Pro2 is a professional large-format 3D printer which includes dual-extrusion, ample build volume, wireless connectivity, swappable magnetic build-plate system, a built-in camera, a HEPA-filter exhaust fan and much more.

Soldering Workstations: Includes two soldering stations, a rework station, a desoldering station and a wide range of soldering accessories to help you work faster and smarter.

Booking

The space is available to use by staff and students who have had the room induction and completed the corresponding H&S induction on Canvas. 

You can book an in-person room induction by emailing MAHtechserv@sussex.ac.uk. Inductions normally take 30 minutes and are scheduled on an ad-hoc basis.
