Our research spans inorganic, organic and physical chemistry as well as more interdisciplinary areas, including nanoscience, bioinorganic and medicinal chemistry.
Drug Discovery
The goal of our Sussex Drug Discovery Centre is the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for diseases with high unmet medical need.
Ecology and Evolution
Our research is focussed on how organisms evolve, behave and interact with their environments.
Genome Damage and Stability
Our researchers investigate the responses of cells to genome damage and diseases.
Neuroscience
We aim to explain neural processes as well as the mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders.
