This Friday, 6 September at 08:00, we are changing the authentication of Canvas to use Okta.
This means that when you login to Canvas on Friday you will be presented with an Okta login, which looks like this:
There should be minimal impact to all staff and students, as we have tested this thoroughly in our non-production environments.
However if you have any issues connecting to Canvas on Friday please do contact Service Desk.

Unfortunately we have been unable to proceed with this change as to how we login into Canvas. We are going to research further into the issue we discovered today, and will let you know when we will proceed again with this change.
This change to Canvas login provider has now been successfully rolled out. You will now be asked by OKTA for your username and password.
