Description of work:
To make sure the network is resilient and ready for the start of term, we’ll be rebooting one of the network load balancers. This will affect some networked services, please see details below.

What will you notice while this work is carried out?
Our expectation is that the following services won’t be available for about 5 minutes:
- Apps Anywhere (Application Jukebox)
- ABW Agresso
- Adobe Connect
- The Sussex website
- Lecture Capture
- Sending emails from email clients
- UG Admissions
However, there is a chance that these services will be at-risk for up to half an hour.
Why are we doing this work?
We have a pair of load balancers that together maintain the stability of our network. One of these needs to be restarted to ensure that, in the event of a component failure, the other can seamlessly pick up the job.
