Several users are reporting a spam message they have received with the title “Undeliverable: Refund for Sussex student”. which appears to have come from UCL.
Spammers are using UCL systems to inject email (at UCL) pretending to come from Sussex addresses. The emails are directed at same Sussex users who “appear” to be sending the messages. Our perimeter mail system (Exim) is detecting the spam and rejecting it, but the forged sender addresses are getting spam “blow back” from UCL. You can delete these messages.
UCL have been informed of the problem.
