QuickTime Player availability on University Workstations


Apple have stopped supporting QuickTime Player for Windows, and will not be patching the current  and future security vulnerabilities.

QuickTime Player will not be available on university Windows workstations, which may cause problems for some software. Software with known issues will be listed on this page:

Nvivo - May have problems dealing with QuickTime media within Nvivo. .

Corel VideoStudio - QuickTime media cannot be opened in VideoStudio

fOCUS II - Media will not play within the application
