When using EndNote to cite a book, how can I add a page number to an individual citation?

When referencing a book which is to be cited many times within one document, but should appear only once in the bibliography, insert the same reference for each then use word to edit the entry adding a specific page number.

Using the EndNote tab in Word

  1. Once the citation has been instered, position the cursor at the appropriate place in Word.
  2. Move to the EndNote ribbon
  3. Click on the Edit & Manage Citation(s) button.
The references are displayed with a small amount of the document text to keep the citation in context.
  4. Select the reference where the page number is required.
  5. Place the page number in the Suffix box. (Do Not Use the Page number field).
  6. Click on OK.
