Module Outline

This module introduces a number of topics within clinical and health psychology, with an emphasis on mental health. Students will study theory and research to help understand the nature of mental illnesses (e.g., depression, anxiety, eating disorders), consider how these develop and can be treated. A problem-based approach will be used which means that the topics will be considered in the context of the problems that can be seen and observed in the world today (e.g., loneliness, worry, relationships). This provides learning opportunities for students through self-directed enquiry, dialogue and experiential engagement with topics and academic material.

Full Module Description
