Module Outline
This industrial placement module involves spending 40 weeks (minimum) in the employment of a company. It is incorporated as part of a (360 credit) Masters degree course to provide industrial experience and broaden student learning.
AHEP4 learning outcomes covered: M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M7, M17.
Module learning outcomes
Demonstrate experience of working within a commercial environment.
Work within a company's procedural framework
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of company mechanisms for optimising resources, meeting customer expectations and ensuring sustainability.
Work within a framework of company policies, including: confidentiality, Health and Safety, and behavioural standards
Apply knowledge, gained in an academic environment, to practical problems encountered in a commercial environment
Interpret and apply the standards and practices adopted by the Company
Demonstrate understanding of the financial rules, procedures and constraints, of the company
Communicate the placement learning experience to others
