This session will give you a quick introduction to the world of entrepreneurship and the support available to Post Graduate Researchers interested in building a business/social enterprise or becoming self-employed.
We’ll cover:
- Realities of starting a business/social enterprise whilst undertaking a PhD
- Approaches to developing an idea (whether connected to your research area or not)
- Key considerations relating to business planning, intellectual property, legal structures and funding options
- Relevant examples
- Support from the Entrepreneurship team and beyond
By the end of the session, you'll feel inspired and more ready to start something up and access the support you might need to succeed.
