Dear [insert name]
At the ÄûÃÊÊÓƵ we’ve commissioned the first piece of public art on campus in many decades. Alumna and Turner Prize winner Helen Cammock has made this artwork for display on our new, award-winning Student Centre. She chose the words ‘Whisper tones vibrate foundations’ to reflect how new ideas often unsettle old ideas and how the rumble of old ideas often vibrates within the new.
Now, more than ever, our planetary future depends on a respectful relationship to our inheritance - exploring and innovating whilst always drawing on, and preserving, the best of the past.
I wish you, your loved ones, and us all
a peaceful, just and sustainable 2024.
